Mississippi Grind (2015 Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck & scr)

They made Half Nelson and It's Kind of a Funny Story, which looks good. The leads Ryan Reynolds and especially Ben Mendelsohn are good; the title isn't. But it doesn't really get anywhere. It's a sort of Sideways for gambling (but not as funny or warm). We last saw Ben as Jack O'Connell's father in Starred Up!
